Kent Park and Recreation organizes monthly outings for Kent seniors utilizing the Northwest Connecticut Rural Transit District bus. These trips feature destinations within the State of Connecticut. The bus transportation is free, and passengers pay the cost of any other trip-related expenses, i.e., admission or tickets and meals. Passengers must be Kent residents.

Outings have included shopping outlets and malls, museums, parks and gardens, foliage tours and holiday light tours. Destinations visited in recent months include Beardsley Zoo, Wadsworth Anthenum Museum, Essex Steam Train, West Farms Mall, Tanger Outlets, Christmas Tree Shops, Connecticut Flower Show. Stops for ice cream are a popular ending to many trips!

Trips are scheduled monthly on a Tuesday or Thursday. The bus departs from Kent Town Hall parking lot. Pick-up service is available.
