Annual Easter Luncheon - Kent Seniors Easter Egg Coloring and Luncheon at the Kent Senior Center, Swift Lane, will take place Monday, March 29, 2010. Seniors will color eggs starting at 11:15 a.m.; luncheon will be served at 12:30 p.m., and a talk by Dr. Daren Garb on osteoporosis and preventive tips will follow at 1 p.m. The suggested donation is $3. Flex Appeal for Kent Seniors - Senior exercise program designed to increase strength, balance and flexibility. The class is held in cooperation with the New Milford Visiting Nurse Association. Dates of the next six-week program will be announced; the program meets at the Kent Senior Center, Swift Lane. The free course will be conducted by a licensed physical therapist from the New Milford VNA and is sponsored by Kent Park and Recreation. Call 860-927-1003.
Flu Shot Clinic - A seasonal flu vaccination clinic for Kent seniors is sponsored by the New Milford Visiting Nurse Association and Kent Nursing Association in coordination with the Town of Kent. The 2010 clinic will take place Monday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to noon at Kent Town Hall, 41 Kent Green Boulevard. Insurance plans accepted: Medicare Part B, Health Net, Connecticare, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross. Bring a copy of your insurance card. The cost is $37 (cash or check) for those who do not have one of these insurance plans. Pre-registration is requested by calling Lesly at 860-927-1003.
