Adult Programs

PLEASE NOTE PROGRAMS CURRENTLY ARE NOT MEETING UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE. 

Adult Men's Basketball - program meets in the winter months Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Kent Center School gym. No cost. Participants must register; forms available at the gym.

Adult Fitness in Nature: meets Saturday mornings at 8:30-9:30 at Kent Common Park, 16 Swifts Lane (off Route 341E) with Colleen O'Brien. Join us for stretching, movement and exercise. Bring a mat or towel, water bottle, mask. Social distancing is required. The cost is $40/four-week session that begins July 11. Email parkandrec@townofkentct.org to pre-register.

Beginning dog obedience class - The class, open to any age dog and led by Lee Sohl, will be held Mondays, starting June 22, 2020, 6-7 p.m. and meets for eight weeks at a cost of $100 at Kent Common Park, Swifts Lane. Participants must bring a mask and adhere to the social distancing markers. Participants should pre-register with Mrs. Sohl by calling 860-927-4783. for ages 7 through adult meets Mondays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Kent Community House, North Main Street. Weapons and advanced forms meets every other week, starting July 29, at 7:35 p.m. The 10-week program is ongoing. The class is sponsored by USA Martial Arts of Woodbury, a member of the Cheezic Tang Soo Do Karate Federation. Registration fee is $80/10-week session; $60/session for additional family members. Registration form available under "Forms." Registration can be returned to the Park and Recreation office, Town Hall, or brought to the first class.

 

Neigong Class is offered Wednesdays, 9-10:30 a.m. at the Kent Community House. "Meditation: Movement: Internal Art; every day a different feeling."
