Blue and Gold Summer Camps: Sports camp programs for boys and girls entering grades 5-9 in the fall will be offered during the summer at Housatonic Valley Regional High School, 246 Warren Turnpike Road, Falls Village; programs to be announced.


Camp Kent – Park and Rec offers an eight-week summer day camp program open to youngsters who will be entering grades 1-8 in the fall. The 2020 program dates will be announced. Registration for the program opens the third Friday in May. The program meets Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Emery Park, 42 Segar Mountain Road. The camp day traditionally features sports and games, arts and crafts, swimming, field trips, Thursday lunch in the park with the Kent Memorial Library and weekly Friday BBQ lunches. Registration is accepted on a first come, first serve basis as space permits. The cost is $105/week for Kent residents; $135 for non-residents with a $5/discount for each additional family member who attends in the same week. Registration policy: $30 of the registration fee is non-refundable for cancellations that can not be filled by other campers. Limited scholarships available in cooperation with the Kent Community Fund. Direct confidential inquiries to Park and Recreation director Lesly Ferris, 860-927-1003. Kent Park and Recreation does not participate in the Care4Kids program. Per Connecticut General Statute 19a-77, Kent Park and Recreation is required to disclose that its services and programs are not licensed by the State Office of Early Childhood. Informational flyer and registration forms will be available on this website under "Forms."

Colonial Summer Baseball – Kent Park and Recreation offers summer Colonial Baseball for Kent boys ages 13-16 (age of May 1). Cornwall, Falls Village, Kent, Salisbury and Sharon will partner to form a team. The season runs mid-June through July. Registration fee is $50. Contact Lesly Ferris, 860-927-1003 if interested in playing.

 Lunch in the Park – Kent Park and Recreation and the Kent Memorial Library will host weekly story hour during the summer at noon at Emery Park, 42 Segar Mountain Road. The program will meet Thursdays; 2020 dates to be announced. Families are invited to join the library and Park and Rec for children’s stories. Bring a chair or blanket and a picnic lunch. A park pass is not required.

Learn-To-Swim Program
The availability of the program for summer 2020 will be announced.

Slamma-Jamma Basketball Camp - Camp, open to younsters entering grades 3 through 9, is offered in July from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 2020 program would run July 20-24 at a cost of $175. Register and pay by credit card online. Summer Little League – open to Kent youngsters age 8 to 11 (as of Aug. 1). The program, which would be a regional team with Cornwall and Sharon, will run through early August with weeknight games with regional towns. Registration fee is $20 and includes a team hat and T-shirt.
