Kent Park and Recreation in conjunction with New Milford Hospital announces "Senior Suppers," daily from 4 to 6 p.m. at the New Milford Hospital cafeteria.
The Senior Suppers are a new feature of the hospital's innovative Plow to Plate initiative, promoting healthier eating and the pleasures that go along with it. The meals include choice of salad or soup, one entree, two side dishes, dessert and coffee/tea. The cost is $5/person with a Kent Senior Center member card.
Join seniors from neighboring towns for conversation after dinner and sometimes entertainment or special events. Participants must reserve a seat for the supper by calling 860-210-7470 before 2 p.m. on the day in which they plan to dine.
Kent Park and Recreation will sponsor a bus outing to Senior Supper at New Milford Hospital on Oct. 13 and Dec. 15, 2010. The NWCTD bus will leave Kent Town Hall at 4:30 p.m. The cost is $5/person. Seating is limited. Pick-up service is available. Call 860-927-1003 to reserve a seat.
Kent Senior Center member cards are available Monday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kent Senior Center, Swift Lane, and at the Park and Rec office, town hall, or by calling 860-927-1003.
